About the Program

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) is a comprehensive medical center that includes an acute care hospital; a four-year School of Medicine and Health Sciences, with an enrollment of 600 medical students and 800 students in the health-care science professions; a full-time faculty group practice of 300 physicians; and a managed care plan with 90,000 members. The Medical Center is enhanced by the active support and involvement of the 700 physicians who are members of the voluntary medical staff.
